thtas nothing, i was driving on a sheet ice on a 80km/h road and fish tailed, took two of what your had and corrected and come back straight. Thank god, no one was besides me cuz after correction i found myself on the other lane
Damn dude that sounds insane. My buddy fish tailed his challenger the other day too. It's amazing how fast it happens. In my case, I lost control even before I knew it. One second you're fine, and the next second you're not. Lucky nothing bad happened and I will be more careful in the future.

i know erh. it is also surprising how fast in some situation ppl react, in normal daily life cases, i wouldnt have act so calmly and fast. But after i corrected it, i did have a shaking leg. lol. After that day, i have taken the same road.

BTW it maybe black ice tho, i did not go that road again so i dont know. if it is balck ice, doesnt matter what you drive, you will have a fish tail

Be especially careful on bridges...they tend to ice up faster then the rest of roads because cold air can blow on the underside. A few years ago I was traveling with a friend following. I hit a patch of ice on a bridge and did a 180 into the oncoming lane. I finally came to a stop, my friend stopped and yelled "did you forget something?"

She almost got away from me yesterday. I had my car parked outside for a week at the airport in 0 degree conditions. Just leaving the airport the tires were still cold. Almost spun out and lost control after just giving her a tiny bit of gas coming out of a turn. Thank god for traction control otherwise I would have ended up in a ditch. The incident felt a whole lot more terrifying than the video appears.

I bet it was. Snow tires or A/S tires ? You hit the gas while still in a slight turn as the tracks on the pavement disappeared back under a layer of snow.

Funny how you and I drive alike. Ignoring stop signs and the lines on the road, and not slowing down for dumb idiots.

Hope I don't have to drive in Florida. Don't have time to learn the signs they use. Like I'm used to yield signs having 3 sides, not eight. ;)

More pedestrians crossing against the light. I'll say unlike that homeless lady I almost hit last summer, at least these guys got some hustle going.

What model dash cams is everyone using? I'm looking at getting one soon after what happened to me today.

I have an old PapaGo2 which was one of the first 1080p dash cams. By todays standards it's bulky and obtrusive. If I was in the market for another one I'd go with the two channel Blackvue.

Be advised the highly discussed Waylens Horizon is a great camera but lots of users are reporting problems with the mounts that make the camera shake. It requires a pretty inventive DIYer to modify it so it doesn't.

What are stop signs?
I think that was the result of a poorly placed tree. I can't stand most trees but especially trees that block my view of the street.

I'm glad you were able to get out. I've gotten out of the sector of Houston three times and they keep dragging me back into it. The West Belt is hell.
