haha it was unexpected, thats a pretty clear footage for night time, mind me asking what dash cam you are using?

My dash cam is a PapaGo2. I got it specifically because of it's night time clarity but the new Blackvue has it beat now days.

I've been super bummed (circumstantially, not literally) because the monster deer I ran over a couple days ago (in my TRD Tacoma) should be on my camera footage but for some reason it wasn't recording. It was only very minor damage due to the ride height and big skid plate, but I was so looking forward to the video.

Anyway, yesterday I felt a bit better after capturing this. I found it more entertaining than scary, but the kid was really booking it and probably would have ended up smooshed in the other lane. Good save by mom.

I believe in Alabama the oncoming lane is not required to stop if it is a separated highway with a divide of 10 feet or greater distance.

its the same here in florida, i just moved here and had no idea, as people were blowing by the bus on the other side, law states if its any barrier on a divided highway and/or 5 feet unpaved proceed with caution

Well, on the plus side you err'd on the side of caution. Passing a school bus is an expensive ticket in any state not withstanding hitting any kids.

Also could cause confusion for people who know the law, and therefore dangerous to come to a stop when others know it's not required and come up behind a car stopped on a 4 lane highway. That's why the guy flying by is honking!

That Bronco doing what he did... yea, I was hit in the exact same place but the vehicle was a white cargo van. This happened last year. So I am very cautious taking that left turn now. Sure enough this happened again today, but I was ready for him. Just glad that car behind me was paying attention or I would have lost that rear bumper.

Vid 2 May have been a person expecting a one way street.
I catch these all the time in downtown Houston when people are serving in the court and trying to orient themselves and find their destination but don't realize all our streets are one way.
