Cleaning rust rear caliper

On mu 2016 gt mustang convertible. The caliper and around have rust spots. How can i clean them without taking off the wheel ?
Any good chemical that can do this ?

Any way of protected it regulary to try to avoid rust when it s brand new ?

I would recommend you go ahead and take off the wheel so you can properly access it and maybe look in to painting them. I know a few people have done it with the calipers on the car, but it might be more of a pain that way.

VHT clear/gloss could also work, but I think I'd rather have a color in there.
