Several times in last few weeks, when I am accelerating to get up to street speed, a chime starts to ring. The turbo kicked in but I was nowhere near red lining. RPMs were still in the 3-4K range. There is no dash indication while the chiming is occurring. My dealer has no idea why the chiming. And the chiming does not happen every time I speed up hard. It has only happened when I am going slow and then have to speed up to merge with traffic.
Anyone else get the chiming and know what it indicates?

Winner winner chicken dinner! No idea really, that's odd. Do you have a scan tool, check for codes or did the dealer check it? If no codes, I'd disconnect the negative lead of the battery for 10 minutes, reconnect and try again.

Could it be the door position chime or others under load where it's pushing on that sensor?

This happened in my previous car if I mashed the gas - figured out (on my own, of course... can't depend on a dealer) that the occupancy sensor in the passenger seat or some wiring related to it was defective and triggered when the car was under heavy acceleration. Disconnected the electrical plug (do so with battery negative disconnected) and the noise never happened, other than I had warnings for airbag stuff. Plugged it back in (negative battery disconnected) and issue came back. Supposed to wait some number of minutes before disconnecting/connecting airbag plugs after disconnecting the battery negative. I waited 30 min. to be safe. Apparently they can go off on you even with the battery unplugged. So I told the dealer about this, they did the same test, that led them down the right path and I had to get a new seat...
