Weird chiming?

Every so often, I am cruising at about 40 mph, <2,000 rpm. I accelerate moderately and a chime starts up. My rpms are still <3,000. I let up on the accelerator and the chiming stops. Absolutely NO dash announcements. I've tried to reproduce it by stomping hard...but no chimes!?!

Can anyone tell me what's going on?
