So yesterday I stopped by my local Ford Dealership to take the 2015 for a test drive. I have had 8 Mustangs and have enjoyed EVEY single one. I enjoyed every aspect of the Mustangs (I sat in 2 and drove an Anniversary model) except that both I and my wife smelled a strong chemical smell. I don't know if it was cleaning solution from dealer prep, or some sort of leather protectant? It was not particularly pleasing.

Anyone else experience this?? Does it leave after a while? Could it be exclusive to my dealership's prep procedure.

Ultimately I still plan on waiting for the gt350, but was mightly impressed with the overall package which is the 2015 GT.

Yes new cars have strong smells from all the fresh plastics in the interior. I leave the windows down as much as I can for a while to help dissipate them.

Mine did not have any smell but the new car, new leather smell. Sounds like this is something local to your dealership.

Have not seen anything like this posted on 4 other sites about the '15's either. Ask them what they use for their PDI's.
