Tittle says it all , I've been looking at the intercoolers lately and was wondering which is the cheapest? So far MMRs the cheapest I've seen but they've been out since forever I'm on a budget of $350-$450 so im really looking for one around my range any suggestions towards a good intercooler would be great

The EcoEconomy by FFTec is $449. I don't know if they offer a forum discount, but you can check with them. It looks like a decent unit.

Levels Performance had one unit left at the intro price of $475, but I don't know if it's still available. I have the LP FMIC and can't say enough good things about it. It's a great quality piece and performs excellent.

I also know that Adam with MAP was doing pre-orders, so he might could hook you up with some good intro pricing too. They too have a really good unit that performs well.

Yeah, I'd say so. You can feel that the car pulls better throughout the rpm range and feels a lot more consistent. The stock FMIC is garbage. Another benefit to me is the throttle response. It feels much better and a lot sharper.

Next to a tune, my next highly recommended mod would be a good FMIC. I've said it before, but heat management with the EB engines are crucial to making good, consistent, and reliable horsepower.

I agree this car needs a FMIC stock and especially with a tune. More so than any other turbo car I've ever owned

To keep power constant pull after pull a good quality FMIC is 100% neccessary.

Which FMIC are you running? Have you done any monitoring? I just interested in seeing how others are performing. Today I was cruising at 70 on the highway and the temp outside was 80, intake temp on instrument panel was 81 and the FMIC was showing 95 on the X4.

I'm running the Levels Performance FMIC. I've done a lot of monitoring the last couple of weeks. At highway speeds, it normally stays within 5°-10° of ambient and generally maintains that over a WOT pull. The stock FMIC isn't so bad under light throttle conditions, like going down the highway at speed, but when you open it up is where a huge difference lies. The stock FMIC would jump 70°+ whereas this one will stay about 10° above ambient, fall several degrees throughout the pull, and then slightly rise back up to about 7°-8° above ambient towards the end of a WOT 3rd gear pull. I've been very pleased with it.

Anytime, good sir. I had it at the track this weekend and it performed perfectly. It was super consistent and really kept the temps within spec.
