So the m1 supposedly has subframes from the Shelby models. Does this mean they don’t need or cannot fit aftermarket subframe improvements such as the rear IRS bracing and G trac bracing?

Any S550 bracing should Work. I used the steeda parts. IRS braces, sleeves, and bushing supports.

Steeda is great I have the Road Course stop the hop kit and the 2 point k member brace. Coupled with the dual rate springs and adjustable sway bars makes it perfect for the track and still street friendly.

Thanks TJ. What parts are in the Stop the Hop ensemble? I feel like I’ll eventually end up getting all the parts you listed but it probably makes the most sense to install them all at the same time, right?
All of the parts in the Stop the Hop Kit are listed here - https://www.steeda.com/steeda-555-2129-h-s550-stop-the-hop-handling-ultimate-kit

Kit Includes:

  • 555-5754 - Steeda IRS Subframe Support Braces
  • 555-4443 - Steeda Adjustable Differential Bushing Insert System
  • 555-4438 - Steeda IRS Subframe Alignment Kit
  • 555-4437 - Steeda IRS Subframe Bushing Support System
  • 555-4129 - Steeda Billet Aluminum Vertical Links with Urethane Bushings
  • 555-4120 - Steeda Adjustable Rear Toe Links

I did just the irs braces. That alone seemed to really eliminate the wheel hop is was experiencing.

Was this a mistake? Should I have done more? This will not be tracked and the braces were simply to eliminate wheel hop is was getting in my 60ft times

No, not a mistake - the braces alone are very stout & robust against preventing wheel hop. But for others ... it's just one piece of the puzzle - all of these cars behave differently from the factory. Some have great success with just the braces along ... others will need to compliment the braces with another add-on & so forth.

If you have an SC - then we would recommend the Ultimate Kit which is what we install on most SC cars we install here at shops. There is no right or wrong answer here ... just personal preference when it comes to the feel of the rear & the IRS.

so i just got my PP1 car and am positively shocked at how well this thing handles everything.
my guess is a non PP1 car (and a base mach is basically a suped up PP1 car) might need more but all the factory performance models i've driven have been flippin stable as all heck.
