Almost bought the Charger scat pack. Only thing that stopped me was price. I didn't want to spend more than ~$30k and the scats are upper $30k+ with negotiations and rebates.
upper 30s for a scat pack charger seems like a bargain.

pretty sure they stopped using it back in 2011

Pretty sure it's still the same chassis, just different sheet metal.

I saw the announcement the other day for the Focus RS, getting 345 HP. I'd love to replace my wife's nissan sentra lease with that, but it's manual only so no go for her.

Then I saw this gem in my motor trend spam email today.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests...t_pack_first_test/?eml=1169615&sp_rid=5514720

40k for an 8 speed auto with 485hp. Hot damn
We actually drove a Scat pack before we bought the Mustang. The big dodge is a pretty sweet car. Very quick in a straight line. Roomy interior that's just been upgraded. Pretty nice car.

I hear that the aftermarket for the Dodges is not even close to the Chevy and Ford stuff. This still true? I want to think I can do some bolt ons and maybe a blower one day and still come out cheaper than I would have with a Hellcat for sure and maybe even the Scat pack Hemi.

Im just trying to justify not wanting to get into Scat. :eyebulge::lol::lol::tsk::tsk:

i'm probably just dreaming. i dont think my wife will go for it, unless i just bring it home one day instead of her sentra.

i'll probably just end up leasing her a fusion for 130/mo. man that would be sweet if i can get this scat pack as her car.

Agreed. For a long time I was thinking hard about either Chevy SS or a Scat Pack Charger. They were just slightly over my budget...

I love the G8s, and was seriously disappointed when I saw the pricing of the SS.

There has to be a market for larger rwd sedans, isn't there?

You would think. The Charger has always sold well for its catagory

The SS was just to appease the people who were screaming for it. It's obvious Chevy had no intention of it being a successful product

Went and looked at this on Friday. Dealership let me keep it over the weekend. I can honestly say I've never driven an affordable car that attracted so much attention from so many different types of people. White, black, hispanic, asian, men, women, young, old. Tons of gawkers. I was surprised at how well a 3.6 propelled this tank too. After looking it up...14.90s at 98 mph is movin' for a car this size that I was able to get 32 mpg out of at a sustained 77 mph. Only major complaint/concern is the roof had slight bows that looked like shallow dents in it from what I'm guessing was when or how they installed the panoramic roof.

Told dealership what it was worth to me...they keep countering w/ more expensive offers. We'll see what happens. Needless to say, a base ecoboost would save me a lot of $.

I was close to buying one of these about 3 years ago when I bought my Challenger. They are sweet cars and the leather, nav, ride quality, stereo all remind me of a car much much more expensive. I knew that I would get bored with it though, so I bought a Wrangler instead (and then got bored with it lol). Awesome cars for 32mpg and that much sexiness! The one I looked at was Triline Red (I believe) with black leather.

I tried to order a Scatpack with the manual transmission before ordering my 16 Mustang. Went through the whole process only to find out at the end that the dealer wanted 3k OVER sticker for the pleasure of selling me one. Nope! I refuse to pay over sticker for a car!
