My wife's stock auto gets beat quite easily by a stock scat pack challenger. I thought it'd be closer than it was, according to this site, "it's a drivers race". Quarter mile time might be close, but I bet it had about 5 mph on be by the way he flew by. Those big boats can't get off the line, but they move when they get going.
I'm pretty sure the mustang traps as high if not higher than the scat pack challenger.

This is the only thing that sucks about the scat pack. Not much more you can do for power. Headers, cam, blower or maybe twin turbos but have not seen that yet. I have seen some scatpack switch good tires and a good night running low 12's and heard of a few 11.9's.

Having had a 16 GT and now a 17 Charger Daytona 392 I can say the stock Mustang is not outrunning it. That A8 with the 6.4 and 3.09 gears is a beast as heavy as it is. Only chance is if the 6.4 launches badly.

What did you pay for the charger low 30s?

My sticker was 47k and they came down to 41k. I don't have the daytona just the scat pack. Got my Memorial Day weekend. The best thing is that there's not many of them out there. I got the dark blue which seem to be hard to find.

I wanted to.....just could'nt

I tend to agree but my brother in law is a Dodge guy at 150lbs and I have a Mustang at 275lbs. lol
I weigh about 150lbs myself. Charger/Challenger are fat so reducing the weight on those things by any amount would be preferable. So in some cases you can take the owners weight into account. I wonder how much of a difference it would make are we talking maybe a .01 of a second per cheese burger?

The 60' seems to be the only advantage the charge/challenger has over the mustang. The trap speeds seem to be pretty much on par, indicating they are very evenly matched in their power to weight ratio.

Quite honestly, I think the BIGGEST improvement in the MY18 is going to be that 10 speed transmission.

I met up with a 392 Daytona the other day and was able to pull on him. He pulled up next to me and floored it before I knew we were racing. He got about half a car on me off the roll then I was able to pull even and get ahead by a little before we ran into some traffic. It's possible he let up, but it didn't seem like it. Also have taken a couple older Camaro SS, but not the 2017 yet. Might be a tough one there.

Holy cow over 50k sticker. I hope these things poop on GTs for that money lol
Anything over $40k you could have as much HP as you want in a Mustang GT to walk all over it. At that price the Dodge compares more directly to a GT with a blower than to a stock GT.

Yes if you have base GT with a supercharger. There's only one dealership that does these for 40k. The scatpack is fully loaded and if you compare that to a fully loaded mustang the price is about the same. Plus your getting a lot more room and comfort. The scatpack is compared more to the chevy ss which has a sticker price of 51k as well. The only reason I don't have my mustang anymore is I need the room for the kids.
