Charcoal evap canister got wrecked by a rock, can I just cap it for now? And oil pan dent… some other dmg too.

I know the tank needs to vent some and just need to order the part. Just would like to see if I have any other options in the meantime?

Also y’all think this dent in the oil pan is of any concern? Seems small enough and no leaks. Just never taken one off so don’t know what everything looks like on the inside. It’ll eventually get replaced anyhow when the time comes I do the OPGs but that might not be for some time.

not a daily driver bout 6k a year now with some autocross and maybe track days in the future.

Yes you can just cap it but you will have a check engine light

Oil pan is fine as long as it hasn't distorted the drain plug sealing and isn't leaking from the dent itself. It's aggravating to look at but it isn't going to fail on you anytime soon or cause any oil supply problems.

All that damage isn't from just "a rock"... that was either some serious large road debris you ran over or you're trying to use the car as a Bronco.... (kidding)....

Haha yea was a huge rock, I wouldn’t say it was a nice boulder lol. It was in the dead middle of the lane. I’d say it was a bout 5 inches or so. Maybe a hair more.

normally I try to avoid anything in the road but it didn’t look like much but maybe a bag until it was too late. Cross member saved the oil pan.
