Changes to Factory Order

I contacted my salesman last week and he provided me with the VIN and scheduled build week. My order was placed June 30th. I inquired about changing some options about the order, nothing deal breaking but I did consider adding the Premier interior trim, rear sensors and 3.55's, deleting nav and maybe going Redline with the Recaros.

He said it may be possible if the order hasn't been serialized yet. I did some googling and it seems like if you have a VIN already and a build week it would basically definitely have been serialized. First car so I'm rather new to the order process.

Can anyone chime in on this if you were able to change options after having a VIN and date assigned?

Have them put in the changes.

The changes will either be rejected, or go through.

I went in on the 23rd actual to inquire about the changes. The build date was moved up to Aug 8th from the previous stated week of the 22nd so it was definitely too late to change anything but I was super happy that the car is coming a lot sooner!

Best option is just to go back into the dealer and speak with your sales guy in person. They should let you know if it could be done.

Whoo! I got my factory order changes confirmed. Switched to 3:55 Gears and spoiler delete.

Borla S-Type catback is in the mail

Good stuff man! I was going to swap the 3.31s for 3.55s as well but it was too late. Already got the Spoiler delete in initial order so I'm glad I made sure of that.

Really? That's not right man, I feel like you should have had a vin by now it's been almost 4 weeks now. What response did FordService give you?

Called FordServiceCA Monday since there forum online rep hasn't signed in since Friday and hasn;t replied in a week. They told me to call back in 3 weeks...all I have is the Factory Order# and it just shows pending... So odd. There is another guy on here from Toronto who ordered his a few days after mine and has everything.

Can't remember who it is. but his build date is August.

They told me to call back in 3 weeks...all I have is the Factory Order# and it just shows pending... So odd. There is another guy on here from Toronto who ordered his a few days after mine and has everything.

I see you guys get your cars within 2 months of order. Out here in Aussie land we are waiting from 12 to 18 months (was even longer earlier in the peace). :headbonk:

I just picked it up last night, it was here at 7 weeks from order but I picked it up at 9 weeks due to some delays. It's a bit unfortunate you guys have to wait that long but they are actually rare cars over there! I see like 5-6 a day here so it's not so special.
