No blue on my ceramic seats so far, and my girlfriend and I both wear jeans pretty often...hopefully the seats stay blue free!

What do you recommend for 3rd party surface treatment? So far I've used ArmorAll Leather and so far so good. (only 200 km on the clock so)

it depends on the car
armor all works good on my Chrysler 300C and my Ranger Limited.
Simonez Leather Care (bought it on a trip in the United Kingdom) is good for the BMW leather.

Does anyone else have a problem with Ceramic Interior? I have been noticing that my jeans wear off on the seat. They are old jeans and should not be doing this, they leave a big blue smear on the seat. I will get pictures next time I am in it, but I have already cleaned the seats multiple times and am taking it to Ford for a raddle in the door so I will mention it to them.

I have a DIB GT with Ceramic interior. My car isn't a DD, but I have notice some color wash off on it from my jeans, but not too bad. I just wipe down the seats when I see any discoloration with leather cleaner wipes. I use the armorall wipes. Easy to keep clean if you just keep an eye on it. Now about those Black floor mats. Those thing stay dirty. I've always had a light color floor mats in my car. Easier to hide dirt, especially sand.

I've read through this thread because I was interested in the Ceramic interior color combo as well...only because it's "different".

The only problem is - folks are not saying whether the "jeans color transfer" is more prevalent on LEATHER or CLOTH....

Can someone please provide more clarity if the issue more common with the Ceramic LEATHER vs. CLOTH or visa versa?

My father has a BMW 335 w/ the twin turbo and the interior is the lighter color leather, almost like Ceramic... The clothing color transfer is an issue in his vehicle too, but on the other hand, he has never applied any type of upholstery protectant to the seating surfaces.

Has anyone applied an upholstery protectant such as Scotchguard that was mentioned in this thread and if so, has the color transfer from clothing ceased?

I assumed the entire thread was about the leather. That's what my posts were about anyway.

While I didn't notice any blue stain I did notice some light greyish stains. I was able to clean it up easy with armor all leather wipes. Looks like I'll have to do this each time I wash my car.

It's hard to find Ceramic. That's the color I'd prefer.

My wife's 2014 Pathfinder has beige leather, and in the first week, the seats were blue.

I took Lexol leather cleaner (one in orange bottle), sprayed it on, let it soak for 5 min, then took paper towel, soaked in the same cleaner, and scrubbed. it came right out.

I wanted to put vinyl/leather protectant, as most non-euroupean auto leathers are vinyl coated. but ended up just putting lexol Neatsfoot conditioner (the one in beige bottle) on it a few times. I was expecting to clean the "blue" out every few weeks, but for some reason, the seats stopped picking up dye from pants.

BTW, the brown lexol conditioner WILL DARKEN your leather.

Just get sheepskin seat covers and it'll keep the Ceramic leather from getting stained:

Is the saddle interior better than the ceramic about jeans?

IMO, from the pics I've seen of the Saddle interior, the color almost has a reddish hue and is too dark (again just an opinion)... So I don't think there would be an issue with clothing color transfer on those seat surfaces.

Is the saddle interior better than the ceramic about jeans?

Saddle is really kind of a chestnut dark brown in real life. It shouldn't show much of anything. Looks really rich with some colors, Guard especially.
