Ah yes I know which one was yours. I have to ask why you give it such high praise? I mean you had to grind the head unit because the belt was constantly rubbing, then you went a month with locked cams making everything slow as crap. Though I understand it was Pc tune but stiil. It's funny every Pc thread I read the pc tech guy denies all and everyone gets angry lmao. Sorry but he does change stories a lot.
Didn't grind the head unit ... I ground a small spot on a fin on the head .. It took a hole 5 mins to fix ..The belt was just barely touching the head and I didn't want to take a chance of damaging the belt .. I'm very happy with the Procharger HO kit , it's well made and fits great .. Sure there was a tune problem and I got a custom tune like you said you were going to do also ..So if you get the HO tuner kit you will not have the problem I had right ? Like I said I had some goals , 1 easy install ,2 cost , 3 to run 10.90s ...All goals met and trouble free system ..Happy ? you bet I am ..

So I am curious. I am at work so can't draw any stick figure centris lmao. The inlet portion of the centri (where the turbine is) each kit has a connection piece that runs out to a filter. Why? I am kind of confused here. Why not just put a filter on that inlet? Like on a turbo?

You could, but if it routes away from the engine the air is cooler. The reason hellion doesn't do it is because there just isn't any room

Hmm, the air that enters from the inlet is pushed through the Intercooler right? I am guessing the air doesn't get cool enough if not using the extension?

It is pushed through the intercooler, but if the air entering the intercooler is colder to begin with, the air exiting is also cooler.

This makes sense, so I am wondering, without the inlet pipe, you should be pulling in more air, at least I would think so. If you are pulling in more air, I wonder if the gains to be made would be more beneficial or if I am smoking crack!

I'm not a science man so I can't tell you, but I honestly believe its a marginal difference.

That is honestly what I am thinking. If it is only a few HP, i would think that the honey comb / half sphere filter on inlet along with a breather of some sort on case would be a much better looking and cleaner install

There is a reason centri and turbo users use velocity stacks. Its not the best idea for daily drivers. To get every ounce of potential is when they are used. Like the drag strip typically

I am not sure of this velocity stack you are talking about. The filtering I am talking about is like this from Google Image

However I am now starting to get back to meh mode. I just priced out the procharger with the upgrades I want, I am now a bit past whipple base price.

I had the ProCharger kit on my 2015 GT w/ PP. My car was stock other than catback, and the ProCharger kit, other than wheels and suspension from Ford racing. I had the Lund tune, and could never get the bucking to stop with remote tuning. It got better. They tried and I datalogged a lot and had no success in getting rid of the buck.

I decided to get a 2016 GT Auto for 3 reasons. 1 because the bucking was aggrevating as hell. 2 because the Autos are kicking ass at the drag strip, and my clutch would need replaced sooner than later, 3. My wife could drive the auto.

I removed the procharger in 3 hours from my old car, flashed tune back and traded it in. It now awaits the install on the new car. Super easy install or removal. Efficient design and fit and finish. Mine was rubbing the head casting too. Didn't bother anything, but smoothed down that area slightly and made a little black dust. I will grind it 1/4" down on this car to fix that issue before install. I think Lund could have dialed it in 100% in person, but not remotely on my car. I will be getting them to do the Auto car remotely and think they will get it 100%.

I upgraded to D1 tuner kit, and all in black. Looks good, hauls ASS, and looks like it belongs there. I got the straight cut gears and it sounds right too. I think my kit was cheaper than the Paxton also, FYI.

lol you put that filter on there and you will need a new head unit in about 3 seconds .. I don't know where you are getting your pricing because mine was A LOT less than the base whipple ..And less than the Paxton I was priced by a dealer here .. You need to stop posting and start calling .. :)

thats comparing different packages

we do the paxton just slightly less than a stage 1 with a p1 head unit

the "complete" kit, stage 1 comes with 47lb injectors, and no bap, the custom package we normally quote has id1000s, custom tune, and a bap, $1350 more in options

the paxton kit as well, comes with an intercooler comparable to a stage 2 setup, and a head unit comparable to a d1 upgrade, so thats going to be completely different setups.

tuner kit to tuner kit, "complete kits" to "complete kits" and our custom packages , the paxton will be less money

again, either of the kits are great kits, but the paxton with comparable options will always be less $$

Not sure why i new head unit would be needed in 3 seconds. That honestly doesn't make any sense. As long as the inlet is filtered it wouldn't matter if the tube is there or not. I am in no way saying that big ole piece of foam that won't flow

Also, I am glad you got yours at such a great price, however I said with the upgrades I want. I want to have potential of 93 octane past 700rwhp+. This means the stage 2 package that beef has, upgrading the head unit to the D series, making everything black, getting a gauge, race valve (though not big race) and now we are at $8,338. I believe that steps into base whipple.

With that said, no calls yet and more paruzing
