Is anyone going catless and getting headaches without having that cat there? Lol! I'm very close to putting it back on but I don't want it to affect my exhaust note.

It's either health or exhaust sound....What do you guys do? lol

If there are no exhaust leaks, you should not be having any issues.

I don't have any leaks. But I do have a cutout switch. I doubt that it's leaking from there. Maybe I just don't drive with my windows down all the time? Lol

Yeah, this isn't true at all. I used to own a VW TDI with the ALH diesel in it and it was straight piped. I loved the sound, but I found myself getting sick more, headaches, and my skin breaking out. Exhaust fumes are absolutely awful for you. Diesel is a bit worse than gasoline, but they are both bad. Put the cat back on and save your health. You want to be around longer than the car right?

Don't open the windows and stop. That's the worst it gets really. Same with fan without AC. Brings in all those fumes.

Personally I'll never run a downpipe without a high flow cat. It takes some of the rasp out and you don't have to worry about the 90 other problems that come with going catless.

Strange, my 08 is dumped at the rear axle and have no issues.

Have a cop here in CA pull you over and then they look to see if you have a cat on. It gets fun really fast :(

Interesting. My friends car is always catless and I've never heard him complain about it. Maybe just getting headaches from focusing on it/overthinking it?

Lol so far I haven't gotten pulled over here in CA from a cop. I would be screwes if they looked.

I have a cut out on the downpipe so I'm guessing that's probably what's causing it when its open and directly under me.

Anyone recommend a specific brand for high flow cats?
About 10 years ago I used a high flow cat from Random Technologies on my turbo BMW. It was 304 stainless construction, thick walled, and well made.

I would use one again. But it's been 10 years there may be better options I'm unaware of.
