Catch can crisis

Can someone please chime in with the catch can thing? I was on upr site and I saw 4 different things, a duel valve, single valve, clean side, and what looked like a catch can with a breather on it. I guess I'm more wondering about the one with the breather, can u just use that alone without any of the other catch cans. Thanks

At minimum, you should run the dual valve catch can (DVCC). Optimally, you'd want to run the DVCC and the clean side catch can (CSCC). However, if you get the DVCC, there's a way that Adam discussed to reroute the hose to the intake manifold to the valve cover instead.

I just got my DVCC and CSCC in the other day and asked Adam earlier about the setup. He told me just to replace the check valve in between the intake manifold and the catch can with a 1/2" Boomba check valve.

Every turbo engine is the same in regards to blow by and pcv systems, adding any catch can would be good. If you want a cheap functional system put a air compressor filter on the valve cover outlet to intake and run a heater hose to a air compressor filter then to the intake manifold. Expensive solution run what the other guys say and run almost $500 worth of hose and filter from upr doing the same thing. Cheap semi recirculating would be valve cover filter on the valve cover outlet and a catch can for the pcv and a fool proof system would be venting to atmosphere by tieing the valve cover outlet and pcv vent together and diverting it to the ground or filter. No need to waste money on a simple issue that every other turbo platform has gotten around though.

Run the DVCC off my site with a proven check valve and you won't have anything to worry about. We really don't need another 30 page long thread on this.
