Carpet color...

Hey guys, I've begun my stereo install process, and I'm having a hard time matching carpet. I'm over $100 into 3 different "charcoal gray" carpets, and none of them match very well. Does anyone know where I can get a good matching carpet? It's a 2021 if that matters.

Not sure what you have shopped or tried yet, but have you looked up “speaker box or subwoofer box carpet”?

When I built a sub box for my 94 Cobra years ago, the speaker box carpet I sourced matched the factory gray trunk liner/carpet exactly. In fact, I don’t think Ford has changed suppliers of that carpet fiber in many years and the trunk color looks the same from my 94 to my 2018.

I *think* I had sourced mine from Crutchfield…. It’s been many years like I said, but IMO the speaker box carpet is as close a match as I could find at the time.

I bought two from Amazon and I bought the stuff from Crutchfield. The two Amazon ones looked like different colors in their pics, but they were exactly the same wrong color... And the one from Crutchfield was darker than the stock carpet, but it looks better than the Amazon ones. I'm tired of paying and guessing... I was hoping someone already found which one matches... Thanks though

The trunk carpet is referred to as fleece or felt, which it seems the above Company stocks. You can give them a call and see if they can send you samples, instead of having to buy/return if not correct.
