When I was given a little tour of a hydrodipping place, the guy said they do need to smooth things out to dip them.

Since that company never got back to me regarding the work I wanted doing I shall get in contact with these guys. Cheers Jury.
you're welcome :D

In terms of process, the dash components once removed were rubbed down smooth and then painted black prior to having the silver weave carbon fibre hydro dip. Then the parts had a layer of tinted lacquer applied to darken the silver slightly.

Looks great! I was wondering how it would turn out whem we met at the Berks meet. That looks better than I'd expected and is quite convincing.

Nice one :)

Yep, looking forward to seeing some pics with them fitted Mark.

Will they be in place before the next Berkshire meet?

Usual story ;)!

What did they charge then matey, and did they prime the pannels / is it reversible? (as in the primer, i know you can take Hydro dip off with Alcohol)

The original panels were rubbed down to make them smooth and then painted black, prior to the silver carbon-weave transfer being applied. Then the panels had two coats of tinted lacquer applied.

Not a reversible change - and wouldn't want to!

Was more thinking for my exterior plastics, had a lot of people turn me down (probably not wanting to do the work) for either levelling the skirts or wrapping them as they need to be levelled, looks like hydro dipping is out of the equation for me:doh:.

Looks class though mate :)

No no, I know people will do it - it's doing it with allowing it to be reversible including the primer/levelling stage
