Just had the dash board detailed in carbon fibre at Detail My Car in Newbury:

Check out their face book page - it looks fantastic!

Nice, I wouldn't mind having that done.

Not sure how well hydro dip will last out in the elements all the time. As you would still need to have them rubbed down (I guess?) you may as well wrap as normal.
Do you? Gibbo's M3 has Hydro dipped parts....

That looks so much better. It's something on my list. How easy was it to remove the trim? Do they just pop off or is it a whole dash dismantle job?
the trim pieces just pop off - starting from the one on the lower passenger side and then the long piece. As the guys at DMC did the work, not sure how easy removing the air vents was. I'll ask them tomorrow when I pick up the car and let you know what they say

Update: indeed the trim was relatively easy to remove - the 4 elements are push fit and can be prised off carefully. The central dash vents also come away from the frontispiece quite easily according to Nick

.... How much would they charge to dip the skirts/splitter/valance?
I'm in the process of putting the Anderson Composites spoiler, side skirts and rear diffuser in carbon fibre onto the car :D

Will be done by GT101 during August (depending on when the parts arrive direct from the manufacturer).

No doubt there will be some pictures of this too......

I will let you know tomorrow - as the work was combined with full front end paint protection (the clear plastic wrap)

Update: price was a couple of hundred pounds. I would say give Nick a ring if you are interested and he can give you a detail quote - my overall price included the paint protection film and a wash of the car - so the price for just the hydro dip may well be different.

When I was given a little tour of a hydrodipping place, the guy said they do need to smooth things out to dip them.

Since that company never got back to me regarding the work I wanted doing I shall get in contact with these guys. Cheers Jury.
