Can anyone suggest the best way to buy a system to weigh (ideally corner weigh, while I'm at it) my car?
Thanks-

You gotta pay to play. :) Your best bet is to take it to a race shop to get it aligned and corner balanced for the money. You really don't need to though. Spend the money on seat time. If you start competing, see where you are at and build your plan from there. Cheap, fast, and reliable...pick two.

I used to have longacre scales and will get another set eventually when funds allow. I do alignments in the garage. Having the scales and rollout levelers are great. When you make adjustments to alignment, I like to roll it back, then forward to settle the change. There are cheaper ways to get levelers, but are worth the money if you aren't comfortable making your own. If you are trying to corner balance and everything isn't perfectly level... it will make for some frustrating tail chasing. :)

You can drive it over a scrap scale. They are very accurate, you wont get corner weights. But you will know what your race weight with you in it is.

FYI, by base '16 PP GT with Recaros weighed 3659 lbs with 1/2 tank of gas.55.3% F/ 44.7% R balance with 49% cross weight. My roll bar equipped, race seat, no passenger seat, aluminum bumper bar, CF driveshaft equipped, A/C deleted GT weighed in at 3560 lbs with full tank of gas. The S550 is not that much of a pig if you don't go option crazy.

Unfortunately the nearest landfill doesn't 'do that'... I will get corner balancing done eventually..

Do a Google search on bathroom scales for cornerweights. You can make lever arms, like 4:1 ratio, and weigh a 1000# corner on a 250# scale.
LOTS of work and time, but not $$$.

p.s. I have the Longacre ones. ;)

Mike what options do you have on your car? Also mine was weighed with my 18x10 Team Dynamics wheels and Conti 305 race tires which are about 10lbs lighter per corner than stock PP wheels and tires. Also I have rear seat deleted.

I have the 401A option. I have 9.5" x19" Stance wheels up front and 10.5" in the back with Pilot SS 275 front and 295 rear.
I plan on changing the driveshaft out to a one piece and getting 18" light weight wheels. My goal for next year is to run some NASA events so Ill be doing some homework on HP/Weight combos.

Mine was weighed by the local scrap metal dealer. You just got to call around to see who has a certified set of scales. Landfill is to dirty for your purdy Stang
