I'm looking to purchase GT out of state and seeking some more info on how to transport the car from MD to FL. So far I found uShip.com which would run me about $500-$600 for freight. I'd appreciate any advice and recommendation on which shipping broker I should use. Thank you

That sounds about right price wise for open transport, uShip Is probably one of the cheaper / reliable services, you could also look over at consumeraffairs under auto transport to see a couple others regarding experiences and reputation.

After further reasearch I found best rated freight companies on uShip and went directly to their website for the quote and end up getting even lower price ($50-$70 cheaper). I figured that uShip acting as a broker and their price would be slightly higher since they have to make slight profit as well.

While that's true, just remember that uShip will also assist in remediation where necessary.

I was wondering about something like this as well, it looks like to ship a car from California to Hawaii would be about $1200.

Hey Man,

I transported my old s2000 from VA to California. I was obsessed with this car, I only wanted to ship in enclosed and sure it's more money around $1,600 from coast to coast I would strongly take a look at Inter City Lines they give your car the white car treatment and since your only going down 95 the price should be reduced.

I would strongly test them out they will not damage your car at all it'll be spotless. I wrote a review on Yelp as well if you want to check that out

I do auto transport and can't stand UShip. Most on there aren't lic and insured to even carry cargo. UShip takes a huge cut out of it. If you decide to go that route pay for insurance on such a long trip.

avoid uship. They promised to bring my car from Ma to Texas for $850 and then never showed up. They weren't making any money off of me so they just ignored my car and left it Mass.
