on My 6r80 I’ve put a switch on the park switch circuit. If someone makes a fake key or breaks In electronically or steels the my keys….. You can start it but it will not go out of park.

interrupting the park switch , neutral Switch , brake switch circuit all result in the car not starting.

also injector fuse circuit is an easy one also , car will power up turn over and nothing will happen.

The fact is if it doesn’t go straight away , they bail pretty quick As they want that 30 second operation.
this idea looks pretty smart. Could you plz share more details or some links?

Breaking the fuel pump is a little flawed because it’s too common and it’s easy to detect if the pump doesn’t operate by ear

Yeah I feel fuel pumps etc a problematic due to higher amp draw.

all other switches are next to no amps draw so keeps problems to a minimum.

all your doing is breaking the continuity of one wire , so using a standard 5 or 10 amps switch is way way over kill and never run into problems.

manuals , the clutch switch would be best
autos , park lock or brake switch are easiest.

with mine , a smart criminal could pull my centre console apart and either release the park lock or many trace my wires ( they look factory) and work it out. But that might take 15 to 30 mins.

when I leave my car for a few days I pull the injector fuse and replace it with a blown one. It takes 5 seconds and everything on the car with work normally but just won’t start. Very simple and effective.

I’ll probably modify mine and use a magnetic switch and mount it behind dash or something. Then you just have a magnetic key ring you swipe to start the car.
fully hidden and untraceable.

simple stuff you can do to make a car underivable and annoying to steel. Smash and tow away is always a risk , but I have 2 apple air tags with speakers removed in that case. But when you look at the stats , it’s like 1% of cars and stolen like that. 99% are with the OEM keys , or electronically broken into and started.

It’s the old school simple stuff that helps prevent stolen cars now that technology makes it very very easy to steel cars with a fob Or canbus systems. $100 tool from aliexpress and Matter for seconds to get what ever car you want Almost.
