Reading this thread is like déjà vu. I work for a spine surgical center. Won't say names but you see us on at TV all the time.

Good luck OP. Did your specialists order you an MRI? Care to share conditions? Usually spinal or foraminal stenosis around L4/5, L5/S1 given those symptoms.

I slipped Disc L4/5 while in the army. Still get awesome random pains about 20 times a day. Feels like my nerves are on crazy mode, or i got shocked with electricity. Probably didn't help that the Army put needles in my back then tried putting current to them. Made me flop like a fish. Then they took them out and apologized. Said the reaction was because the disc had moved some things around and the nerves weren't where they were supposed to be. Been like this ever since. Yay.

Four severe bulged discs in the lower back awaiting surgery....guess that explains only 2800 miles since last November. I only drive Jeb for short trips around town. I still haven't tried out the back seat for that reason. At least I still have the new car smell.

I know how you feel! I came off a broken femur, had the rods and screws put in a year ago. Cant sit anywhere for 15 minutes without severe cramps. Pain that I cant beat with pills, so its no fun. I just go out for 15 minutes, drive the bag off the car, then park it! I can run,bicycle, play hockey, etc all day long. Go figure. Last big trip my wife drove most of the way, and she likes her new escape more, so thats what we use now. I can however ride my bike no problem, so the stang will be sold, and i will be touring on the bike. Kinda sucks, but if it ever goes away, there will always be another mustang out there.
Hope things work out better for you!

I've been dealing with it for 4 years and now they are putting in a Spine Stimulator to make me buzz for life! Had my silver girl since Jan 9th and I've only put 354 miles on it. Can't wait to walk again!! Try a pain clinic for more options, I was wheel chair bound till this

so my EDD is 5-22. but i recently developed sciatica and i can't sit for more than 15 min or the pain in my left butt and leg becomes unbearable. it's a circus show trying to get out of the car in pain.
i stand all day at work now.

i was hoping the condition would go away after a few weeks but it's been a few months. last saturday i was in bed the whole day and couldnt even stand.

yes, i've been seeing doctors and undergoing treatment.

talk about bad timing! :frusty::frusty::frusty:
Main causes of this...

Wallet in back pocket and lack of stretching your hamstring...99% of severe cases can be simply fixed by stretching it out. When mine goes out of wack I GRUNT through the pain and get on a bike with the pedals slightly farther than they should to force my hamstrings to stretch...People baby this and it traditionally gets worse for no reason...Now, in the case of slipped discs, and real injury ignore my Web MD...Good luck!

I have had lower back problems in the past and have to be careful all the time with picking things up. I've learned to bend at the knees and luckily they are fine. Hang in there and it can get better. :)
