I couldn't get 30 riding on the back of a flatbed. Best I've ever gotten on any tank in over two years is 21.9 on the lie-o-meter (20.2 calculated). But, if I'm trying to maximize fuel economy, I'll most likely be driving something other than the Mustang.

When I gas up (e85) I feel like I've really accomplished something if my calculated mileage is north of 15mpg.

I stopped with all that about a year into ownership. Gruesome is trying his best to lock the state down again but people and business are revolting. Everyone I see is doing their best and taking precautions. 98% of people I see are wearing a mask. Lake Tahoe is my favorite place to go any time of year. Locals are a little peeved right now with out of towners and I understand seeing how small their hospital is.

If you're going to hyper-mile, there's better candidates than the Mustang. I used to have a VW Jetta TDI with the 1.9 ALH and that car averaged between 47 and 50 mpg in MIXED driving. That little diesel was very efficient.

I'd say a "properly" driven GT would average between 18 and 22 mpg.
