Hey guys,
I've searched but may just be using the wrong terms. Can the R-electronics package be added to a 350R that wasn't originally ordered with it from the factory? I'm assuming the cars all came off the line with the same wiring installed in the chassis, and that the package would be more along the lines of installing the head unit, speakers, and AC compressor. Is this the case? Can the package be ordered separately from a dealer?

Thanks!

If that's the case and I don't mind taking the inside apart, do you think the package or the parts be something a dealer could order separately?

Yeah I figured I'd get gouged in costs, but given the difficulty of finding one with the specs I want I'm trying to weigh out how possible it is.

It's way easier to buy a different car. Ford won't do anything for you beyond selling you parts if you have all the part numbers. And don't be surprised if all those parts comes to $10,000.

2016 Track pack owners can get the tech screen/nav for around 2.5k, I cant imagine ford making a special harness for 500/cars a year to delete the electronics, it would be much easier to just install eliminator plugs (could be totally wrong). However installing AC is a totally different story.

We've found that tech and base haven't got harness for differential cooler.

When inquiring about the missing gauges on the base R (asking why does the most track worthy version not get the oil temp and pressure gauges?), Jim Owens told me it was because of a different harness. I think the mod, appearing simple on he surface, will be difficult.

Good luck. If you do pull it off, pls post your results. Thanks.

I like to disassemble things.
Can't speak for the AC but I added the 8" screen and Navigation in place of the lowly 4" screen that my '16 Track Pack car came with. Jesse at OEMRadio supplied me with everything I needed. It was a purely bolt-in affair with one harness needing to be added.
