Can I remove factory stripes?

Hey All,

Looking into buying a 2016 GT that a dealer has on the lot. It's black with what looks like dark grey stripes. It's listed on the window sticker as "over the top stripe" so I am assuming it was done at the factory. Anyway, can I remove these easily without damaging the paint?

Yes it is and I may keep it. But I do want to know if I can remove it at some point if I choose.

Yup, mine had factory stripes, i even ordered it with it. Never intended to have the money at all to basically do a Roush conversion on it, but I had a really good tax return this year, so I removed my stripes. came right off pretty easily.

Make sure you remove them within the first year or so, or else the paint color might be a slightly different shade under from the sun.

Yes, I bought a one 2015 leftover and had the stripe removed. They had to do just a touch of wet sanding to remove stripe line on the hood.
