inside the box with my stock diff hardware was this part. I had my shop that does some things for me do my axles and diff bushings/hardware last week.

I googled it and nothing comes up.

Just curious as to what it is.

its some sort of damper that installed on the rear differential mounting bolts. Im guessing its for damping vibrations or killing noise? I think ford added those in 2018

The service manual says: "rear differential vibration dampers (if equipped)".

Thanks, guys!

I guess it doesn’t have to go (or can’t go) back on when putting the new bushings and/or upgraded hardware in.

Install them if possible, there have been reports of strange vibrations occurring when some dampers are left off. Ford is not going to spend $$ for a part they do not need.
