Every car I get I promise myself that I will not coat the calipers. Obsession drives me to break that promise. This color is a Ford Vista Blue by G2 with custom decals. Did Driver side 2 wheels first, next day 2nd coat, third day passenger side, 4 day second coat. Then I waited 2 days for mounting the decals. Last weekend I installed lowering springs, front only. The rear wheels of my GT looked to be low enough so I left the lowering springs off. I'll reconsider in the Spring. A few months ago I installed dust free brake pads and the new rotors.

Can you share how you could use this method in separate days? I read that G2 recommends to use it in a one time shot.
Thanks in advance...

For the first coat I measure out 1/4 of the coating with the same amount of reactor. By the time I coat front and rear calipers the G2 I've mixed is now getting tacky and I'm a little buzzed from the fumes. Next day, I coat the other side. At this point, I use 2500/3000 grit on the first set testing that they are cured first. I hope this makes sense to you. Prepping the calipers is key for a good initial coating, a tedious process to be sure.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

i guess for some motivated owner, coating 4 calipers in one go is doable but the paint would harden before you could add the second coat. This paint gets tacky to the point of trying to add a coat results in the brush sticking to the initial coat and making brush marks. I do not suggest using the brush they supply...it is crap. Go to Michaels and get a few wide, semi-wide and pointy tip brushes if you decide to coat them yourself. Whatever the situation, cleaning then is tantamount for having the paint stick to the caliper surface. clean, clean, clean all areas that will get paint. Buona fortuna.

Are you saying there was prep involved to get a finished product that looks like that?
