California Custom LIC Plates

Anyone here ordered custom plates in Cali? I ordered them 2 months ago and DMV is unable to give me an update, they're telling me it can take up to 4 more months and also there is no way to check their status.

California is definitely slow and they may decline the plate depending on the content. Apparently, they don’t like anything with BULLITT or some variation of that in the configuration. See here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/vanity-plates-arrived.110431/page-4
I’ve been waiting for my plate to arrive or be declined so I can file review to try to get it.

3 months minimum wait time. Be on the lookout for a small envelope from DMV notifying you that your plates have arrived at the DMV office you chose.

Spent 2 hrs at dmv...no apointment because i had to pick up my plates before 30 days. Did my real #@^@@@ id also. Not a waisted time. I had an apointment on line for oct 15. Really? Would have lost my plates
