2015 Mustang GT PP1, my dual zone heater is blowing cold on both sides. The air distribution works ok and the AC blows cold.
i need to know how to remove the plastic panel below the steering wheel column. I can’t see any screws holding it on but i am reluctant to pull on it too hard in case that are fasteners I can’t see. I’d appreciate any input from anyone who has taken this panel off.
Here are pics of the grille where the sensor resides behind and the panel under the steering wheel column.
TIA

Never mind, I didn’t need to take the lower panel off.

Hi Blufc3s,
Good to know that you fixed the problem already.
Anyway, see the photos from my sensor. I had to replace mine (...but was not the problem) :-(
This might help you and maybe others in the future!

If you want to remove it, you just need these plastic tools to remove the door trim...

Cheers

Thanks. What did you find to fix your issue?
when I looked that sensor up on Rock Auto they list it as a “ heater core temperature sensor”. There is also a “ Cabin heat temperature sensor” listed in Rock Auto for my car that I can’t locate.
I don’t want to just start throwing parts at it, but it might be cheaper than taking it to the dealer🤷‍♂️

Well, in my case I was a bit stupid!

I boought my car used (2 years old) from a specialized dealer with Lambos, Porsches, etc,
Next summer I realized that the AC was not cooling properly.
As it was too new (16T Km), I "assumed" that the problem could not be the system's gas.
Then again I tried to fix by replacing the cabin temp sensor. No changes.
Next, I took the car to a workshop and they found that the gas pressure was too low...:headbang:
Exactely what I discarded in the first moment!!!!!

So, they tested for leakages, vacuuned and filled again.
Magic!! now the AC is cooling as it should be!

But I tell you, the mustang does not have the best AC. My wife has a 2018 Ford Kuga (Escape for you), never checked the AC and it is a fridge at max AC...
