Can anyone reply to my post

is it safe using linelock app?
It's best not to. Car might blow up. And Ford will send their SF operator team to come put a sticker on your car alerting all dealers not to warranty it. Regardless of what the claim is. Once car blows up you'll be banned from further mustang purchases and have to end up buying a Camaro. The good news is with Camaro ending production soon, you'll quickly have a collectable car and it'll double in value.

Ive only done them twice, and had no issue. but I read people about burning clutches out etc, as long as you drop the clutch I don't see how a clutch can be harmed vs feathering it on and off. I guess people somehow manage to destroy the clutch.

it is fun though.

Clutch problems happen when the clutch dump doesn’t shock the tires loose or does so and the engine is at too low of an RPM to keep them spinning.

That produces a terrible amount of load on the drivetrain and is a great way to smoke a clutch.

3rd gear clutch drop...??? On ice maybe. I used to do a 2nd gear dump on my old 2V but it had 4.10 gears and crap tires so I wasn’t really concerned. No way I’d attempt even a 2nd gear dump in my current GT unless I’m at the burnout box at a track.

So first gear is best? Just don’t let the Rpms go low to induce a chance for traction.

Depends on what your goal is. 2nd is really ideal if you’re trying to heat the tires at the drag strip. It will spin them up to temp quickly. It’ll also create a lot of smoke.

That being said, at the track there’s a water box to aid in the burnout process.

If I was using the line lock just to do a burnout I would start with first and see how it went. Your tires and gear ratio will play a big factor in how willing the car is to play nice with a second gear clutch dump.

And of course... advance trac totally off.

Doesn’t advance trac turn off on its own when using line lock?if not I will make sure it’s off manually before My car is 3.31 so 1st would be ideal

Yeah you have to shut it off to use line lock. In general, it someone was trying to do a burnout without the line lock and forgot to turn it off, it would be an embarrassing failure.. haha.

I mean, I don’t turn anything off, I go to settings I click linelock, and it lets me burnout, I assume the linelock disables all the trac control features, the track helmet icon appears when in that mode and when I turn it off, goes away

So either, it turns off my advance track when I click linelock,

Or I’m ruining my car and doing a burnout with it on in linelock. Can anyone clarify if the linelock app auto disables it all?

Cool burnout recipe.

Turn off traction control.
Put in first and dump clutch.
As soon as the tires are spinning get back on the brakes with left foot and control rollout speed.
Will heat up back brakes a bit but not really a big deal.
Do as long or as little as you want.

Be careful doing this in 2nd.
Speeds will be higher and talent becomes a big deal with tires spinning at speed.

I think it’s safe to say they programmed line lock to disable the traction control.

Just burn as much rubber as you can afford without causing body damage from blown/burned out tires. Lol. You are overthinking it.

6800 miles on the new car and haven't done a burnout yet....I blame the cost of tires.

Can you maybe not do rolling burnouts with oncoming traffic in a residential street?
