I have had my Mach 1 for about two months and just noticed that the passenger side bumper is not flush where the bumper/headlight/hood meet. Not sure if someone sat on it?!

Has anyone had this problem before and know of a fix?

Looks totally normal to me. How do you want it to be?

Maybe this is a better view. First pick is passenger side, and second driver.

Pop the hood and along the top edge of the bumper are bolts that run along the seam parallel to the radiator. I would follow the edge of the bumper and the black seam to see if any bolts are loose or missing. There are 6 larger ones, and two smaller ones near the headlights.

The bumper basically rests on those connection points, so I'm not really sure why you would have one side sagging... but you might spot the issue.

Here's a video for the GT:

Normal for a Mustang maybe, but it’s likely possible it can be made better.

It would be interesting to see an identical shot of the other side and a close up of dead centre (the centrelines look off).

I would hazard a guess that it’s the hood that’s off - both in horizontal and vertical positions.

Are you sure it's not the hood? That would be more suspect to me than the bumper.

Maybe check the rubber seam is not pushing the hood higher on that side?

I agree, hence my comments above.

I think the hood needs shifting towards the drivers side and dropping slightly on the passenger side.

The photos I mentioned should prove / disprove my theory :like:

from that angle it looks like your hood is actually off. i had to adjust my entire front end because ford sucked at it. its normal unfortunately. i don't trust the local dealer or i would have let them fix it.

Looks like it was the hood. I installed hood struts a few weeks ago and I guess my old eyes just noticed.

Much love to this community for the quick responses.

IMO the curvature of the hood leading edge does not match that of the bumper trailing edge on all our cars.

So you have to choose to prioritize matching at the headlight, or in the center, or for a compromise. Your main adjustment for closed height is the two big spiral rubber bumpers.

Mine matches best at the headlights because it's not that noticeable that the center is a little off.
