I watched a few episodes of that......show.

Before watching them, I had the impression that Japanese people are a bit weird. After watching them, I've been rooting for Godzilla.

Nah man, I love this show. Except 5th stage...5th stage is a dumpster fire.

The name though......"Initial D". I was kiiiiiiinda thinking it was about......sexy-time. But then I realized it wasn't about that.

What's it supposed to mean? Drift?

It was interesting to learn that drifting started in Japan. Not surprising, mind you, but a bit of confirmation for my bias.

It's actually dream...and yes, this thread has gone a bit...sideways.

Have you read any of the manga MF Ghost? It's basically a sequel to this which takes place about 20 years ahead.

Do you guys have any seasonal meets where you drive those roads as a group? I’d love to make my way down there to hit some of those roads. I’m only a few hours north

It's on or off, very grabby, takes some practice in stop and go traffic but it's durable as hell and shifting is quicker at WOT.

I don't do anything official, I'm down to drive if my schedule is free. I have a specific route I like to lead with from the Denver area, up into Boone and back down and it's a pretty nice drive. I like to hit rhythm sections uninterrupted and it's hard to find someone that can match your rhythm so I limit driving with groups with more than a few cars, and I don't do car meets because I would just rather be driving but I post in the Southeast section often looking for people to drive with, just can't get anybody to commit. Let me know if you're ever interested in driving in the area.
