So basically, railcar shortage my ass. Our build week had some issues that they refuse to talk about.
I share your sentiment, but the rail car shortage is real.

Compared to weeks where we know there were issues, I don't believe that our whole run had issues. There is some component (or worker) that was common to all the cars that were held or re-released. The trick is just figuring out what that was, but I suspect you'll never know.
Me, personally, I still would rather wait an extra week to get a proper car then get it now and be back at a dealer regularly chasing some gremlin.

Cotus says 4 days...

Oh I definitely know the shortage is real, but I meant that it probably never applied to my car in the first place, it was always this "problem." I just hope my dealer gives me some good news this morning. I'm not cancelling my order, I'll try to be patient with it and wait to get what I really want.

On the upside, the car is being double checked I guess and it gives me a little more time to save more so I can put more down. I just need to look at the silver lining because whether it's 3 days late or 3 months late, I'll still be just as excited when I see it for the first time.

Got some new info: the car was officially released by the plant 4/19 and is actually out awaiting shipment now. They said the EDD is still TBD but my shipping window is 4/19-4/25 so I should have it before the end of April (fingers crossed)

I have been anti-silver for cars in the past, but every shot I see of the S550 makes me like the color a little more. Nice car!

Did you get that info from your deal BigeasyGT?
Called into ford service and started bitching. The guy then pulled up the history on my car and started running down the list of every entry from order date to where it is now. (2/24 ordered, 3/12 vin assigned, 3/24 production start, 3/30 produced, 3/31 sticker change, 4/7 released from plant, 4/19 re released from plant for shipment).

Still waiting on my dealer to call me. I'm now tracking my car and an ecoboost to my same dealer in the same situation as mine just to see if anything changes. He still has an EDD of 4/26 whereas I have nothing.

Thanks for the info, Im currently in the same boat, built 3/30, 3/31 sticker change 4/08 sticker changed again with invoiced date. 4/13 rereleased from plant to await shipment.

I am being told car was released but not in await shipment status and im starting to get pissed. Called my Dealer yesterday and got an EDD of 4/24.

Hoping its here this friday. All customer service can tell me is its TBD for shipdate and to "hang in there". Cotus has no EDD either...but im thinking its because im a Canadian Customer.

Nope, I am on the complete opposite side of the shipping spectrum in TX and have the exact same story. 4/13 was my build/release date and it has been awaiting shipment. Original EDD was 4/24 and now it is TBD. Whatever it is, I just hope it is a 1-2 week thing and not 1-2 month. :frusty:

From what i have been reading, it looks like every mustang had their delivery pushed back 2 weeks, with the exception of the 4/06 build week.

Some of the 3/30 guys are getting their cars this week and Its giving me some hope this 4/24 date ive been given will hold.

I can confirm friday...fingers crossed.

Last I spoke with my dealer he claimed he still saw an EDD of 4/23 for me so take that as you wish from your dealer.

I called Ford Customer Service regarding my car and they said they are escalating the case to the regional manager who should get in touch with me tomorrow and hopefully be able to give me a realistic timeframe for delivery.

My car is sitting at the railhead in Benecia, CA, about 60 miles away, awaiting transport. I'm expecting to. Pick it up tomorrow or Friday.

My EDD was originally 4/11, so it will wind up being about 2 weeks later than originally anticipated... Seems to be in line with what a lot of us are experiencing.
