Build Week 11/9/2015

[MENTION=19218]jpilone[/MENTION]. I haven't heard back from Ford service yet as to the status of the car I ordered. So all I know is it left the factory but where it is currently no clue.

I can see why after awhile people just get frustrated and cancel their order. I have been waiting to get this car since June. This hasn't been such an enjoyable experience to date.

Hey, I got some BAD news.

I called my dealer again today. He reached out to the regional Ford contact (I'll call him Mr. Regional) for his dealership and asked them to check on what the delay was for my car.

Mr. Regional said "ah, yeah it's the seatbelt problem, if I order another car today you'll get it long before that other car". So apparently Mr. Regional put in the same order which will be sucked up into the Ford computers tonight and get a VIN tomorrow? So potentially I could have TWO cars that never make it out of the factory ;x

Anyway, I pushed back on my dealer telling him the dates on the recall letter (something like 9/22 - 10/2) did not match our build date of 11/9 or 11/11. The dealer called up my order, no recall, no mention as to why it's on hold. Everything looked fine until Production.... then nothing. The last update on my car was 11/26 as still at the plant.

My car has been built and left the factory and I am still unable to get access to the window sticker. Others in this build week have been able so I am sort of confused. I also ordered a GT convertible.

It’s already at the last rail yard waiting on a truck to pick it up and deliver it, vder.

I got faster updates daily from my salesman as time got closer. Ask them to email you the tracking from their dealerconnection site every morning. Helped me cope in the last days!

I just received my window sticker only 4 days before scheduled build date.
