My dealer never got back to me as to why my car was still not released from Flat Rock Friday ...... so on Saturday, I took things into my own hands. She's all ready to head on a ride today with the local Mustang Club to the Shriner's hospital toy run today

DWROTH: I had delays with RR transportation that resulted in waiting an extra 8 days with the purchase of a truck also produced in (Warren) Michigan.

Ford just moved the build date of my GT back so while it may be cold comfort, know you are not alone in patiently waiting.

It doesn't make any sense that cars with the same blend date as mine have not been delivered yet. Wonder if they were damaged or held for qc?

The point being that once your car is released to the RR, blend numbers are mute. The RR has its own timetables, its own headaches and problems that may result in delays. Then there is the possible problem of have truck transpiration available to move product from the rail head. If I may suggest, best not to dwell on any delay. It comes with the process of a special order. Look forward and revel in how you will have years to enjoy your new car.

Welp...mine was supposed to be here yesterday and no word whatsoever. I'm glad some people are getting theirs though...ordered 10/3 blend 11/11 eta 12/5 but no dice :headbonk:

Same here. Build date 11/11. My dealer had been telling it would be here 12/5. On 12/4 he told me it was on a rail car but ETA had been bumped to 12/21 and he had no reason why. My best guess is that they wait until a rail car is filled before putting it in motion and, depending on where your rail car is headed, how close to filled it is when your gets loaded, that impacts when your car starts moving. That is a total wild ass guess though.

The rail cars must be full before they leave the plant, dwroth. That’s correct. But, yours is already on the move.

Well as of this morning mine is on a truck headed to IL.. they said between tomorrow and the 10th.. the wait is almost over. GT350 btw

None of the dealerships in my area have a Mustang with the performance package...I'd love to just go buy one off lot, any color at this point. They must of confused my gt with a gt350 lol.

I feel your pain jedcoRed. When I grabbed my car off the lot on Friday, that dealer (different than where I ordered the car from) told me that my car was probably held up due to some glovebox defect. They had 2 orders held up most recently for that. /shrug Not sure who to believe ....

I hear ya... It really is unbelieveable that the info we get is almost like getting no info at all. My dealer says "it's in transit" all last week. Then Deysha says today that it hasn't left the plant. I know it will get here when it get's here but I just don't understand why it's so difficult to track and get solid answers about it for piece of mind, ya know? urgggggghhhhh :frusty: I wish I was posting pics of her in here today instead of whining...way she goes I guess.
