VIN doesn't matter though, it's all about the blend number. His is 2938 and yours is 3649, so yours was after his. Still good news that Mustangs with a blend date of 11/10 are arriving early though!

You are correct. My car started through the trim shop at 11:46 PM on 11/09 so 3649 blend was probably 12-14 hours later, but still probably has gone through gate release ready to be shipped!

Love your "stripper" build! Gonna make a track car?

Last Wednesday, I finally test drove a GT with only the performance package and no other options. It was a beautiful black 'stripper.'

Got news for you.....It is not a stripper in a literal sense of the word! Mustang gives so many standard features that the car is a 'luxoboat' without spending extra.

I just received my VIN number with a build during the week of Dec. 7th so I am at least 7 weeks out till touch down. Glad there is no holiday during that week!

I have yet to see competition orange on any dealer's lot. I like it a lot. If I had seen it in person, I would have seriously considered it before my order was placed!

I was planning on getting triple yellow but my dealer an orange with black roof on the lot and it spoke to me. But race red, ty, co, and white are all great colors.

I am curious about the actual color. I found "Competition Orange" sometimes looking orange and sometimes it looks copperish. As I said, I have never seen it in person. Have you? Which is it?

DWROTH: Colors? I know what you mean. I feel most everyone goes through the painful decision process of make a color decision. In a perfect world, we could buy TWO GT's in different colors!!!

MY 2004 Mach 1 was competition orange, same paint code. In person, it is bright orange, very much like the Hawaii car photo I posted.

Now, ONLY on camera, in certain overcast days, it can look pale orange-ish, or very sunny days it can look red-ish. It depends on the quality of the camera and its settings.

I am going to take advantage of the Black Friday sale to 'git me' a Borla type S cat back Xhaust system. The GT I test drove this week had almost no sound. All I could hear when I peeled out with the squealing fear of the car salesman as I ran through the gears to about 110 mph on an empty stretch of road with dead man's curve ahead.

The car needs some personality transplant in the form of an exhaust. And 'dats jest what I'm gonna do!"
Looking for the lowest price for Borla Type S Cat Backs during Black Friday sales.
Anyone have any suggestions where? Thanks.

I ordered my car on 10/23 and I have a 11/9/2015 Blend date. I was told yesterday that my car has been shipped and should arrive in Rochester, NY between the 20th-24th. I live in Virginia so it'll be a little trek to go get it and bring it home. 2016 Ingot Silver GT Premium 6 speed with PP, red stitched Recaros and other goodies. Already have a special set of wheels coming from Japan (Advan GT)
