Ford Regional rep called back, said there is no hold as far she can tell, didn't know anything about a hold or seatbelt issue. Thought it's just waiting for transport to dealer. So, still no ETA.

Does this double confirm that the hold might be over for the NorCal cars?
My dealer had never heard of any type of Hold. Nothing. They have 2016 Mustangs in stock and aren't being held for anything. I'm pretty sure they'd tell me (we're not talking about State secrets here).

What I will tell you is that the Rail Company has VERY up to date tracking information. It's a shame that Ford can't leverage that. You can safely and securely provision buyers with UserID's/Passwords that would allow them get a better insight as to where their orders are.

Called customer service, they would only tell me that the car is "in transit" and the estimated delivery date is "tbd"

I take that to mean it is still on hold. The car was at the rail yard over a week ago, hopefully it wasn't shipped back to the plant.

Didn't take too many pics today even though I planned to. Got caught up detailing and put on about 150 miles running around town

Congrats! She's a beauty, the wheels look awesome on the DIB. Great combo! Enjoy!

This is so freaking frustrating to hear. I've started shopping around for cars on lots. I found one almost identical to what I ordered but it has the nickel PP wheels instead of black and I don't like the look. I may check it out when I get back in town if I still don't have the car I ordered. Seems like someone should be able to pull their head out of their butt and get the issue resolved more quickly than this.

I really think the NorCal guys might just at the ports mercy. And they're moving through the cars as fast as they can.

Don't know. So Ford rep told me she had no more information to share than what I already knew. Thanks Ford! Too bad the Camaros are so ugly, they are quicker and handle better than the stang, just can't get past that frickin ugly body.

Spoke to my Dealer manager yesterday afternoon, there is definitely a hold and it is related to seat belts. It may be other models as well, he said he is waiting for 23 cars that are on hold

So the hold is STILL on? Ugh, I find it a little pathetic that Ford messed up putting the seat belts on right, didn't catch it in the inspections, and then proceeded to botch fixing it in a quick manner.

Well we are ETA+2 Day as of today. My dealer said that they emailled the Zone Rep to see if there is any way to get my car released.... I haven't heard anything. I'm going to call customer service to see if the ETA has been adjusted. I'll let you know.

They contacted the Regional Rep to prioritize my car as well, but as of yesterday still no ETA. The Dealer Manager is calling him again this morning and will call me sometime today with some sort of ETA. I told him I have workded for two manufacturers, not automotive, but when there is an issue with a product delay I can't provide the same answers all of us are receiving, I need to at least provide something like approximately 2 weeks to get parts, another week for installation, estimated ETA 1st week of November.
