Build Week - 09/28/15

Strange, no updates from Deysha since car built last Wednesday and I don't any see updates from her today on the forum. :shrug:

What would cause my status to change from "awaiting shipment" to "on hold"? Trying to find more from my dealer but they may not be able to find out. And if they do, they may not tell me. Someone please tell me this doesn't have to mean my car was damaged? I'd like to think it could be something simple but if that were the case....wouldn't it have never been given the ok to load? I was a nervous wreck before I learned this, now I'm a real mess.

I'd just take a deep breath buddy lol! It could be something as simple as the train car it was gonna board had mechanical issues. Or maybe QC noticed the wrong wheels were put on the car. I wouldn't immediately jump to damage, and even if that's the case, the plant is the best place for that to happen as that body panel of w/e would be replaced immediately like nothing happened. I don't see the big deal tbh. Rather at the plant then on the truck.

Picked up my car today! She's a beauty. I love the magnetic color.

I looked up and down the car for issues and only had what I thought was a hood alignment issue (front right almost rubbing the fender) but they fixed it and said it was the fender itself. They knocked it back and everything lines up now.

Sad news time. Took it out and while showing it off I grabbed the passenger window and felt something rough. Looked at it and part of my window has been chipped off. Took a pic and sent it to my salesman and since I have to drop off my bank's check tomorrow, I am having them look at it. Hopefully everything will work out or they aren't getting my check!

On the dark car in their badly lit garage, I just never saw it.
I had them skip washing it so I'll try to get some more pics up when she's clean.
Check those windows everybody!

I hope you guys are right. But if it was a QC issue, Id have to think it would have been caught before the car was released for shipment. My imagination is running wild picturing the car falling off the carrier, scraping the side of a rail car, etc.

Another person posted that rail cars were in short supply and their car was delayed because it didn't have a rail car to go on.

I PICKED UP MY CAR TONIGHT !!! Just spent from 9pm to right now 2am driving around!!! Love this car sooo much... I'm gonna post more pictures tomorrow but here is a teaser for y'all. SOOOOOO happy as this is my first new car ever, and only my second car ever. Can't believe my car got delivered less than ONE MONTH after order date!!! Traded up from a 2000 Honda accord :cheers:

Where has Deysha been? I haven't seen her post at all this week. Waiting to hear back from her. I'm probably going to just call Ford to find out if mine shipped yet.

Dealer found out that my car is one of 3,000 mustangs that have a seatbelt issue. I guess it's going to have to go back for a recall or fix before it ships out. Any of you guys heard anything about this?
