It's not top tier gas so I would advise against using it unless absolutely necessary. We have a Buc-ees about 45 miles away now for over a year on I-20 east of B-ham but have never bought fuel there, they do have some good foods.

I bought fuel at the one in Daytona in my Ranger pickup and had no issues with it. Their brisket is 🔥 though! You have to try it at least once (without sauce). You can buy it by the pound, on a sandwich or in one of their breakfast wraps.

I have used Buc-ees premium ethanol free grade while on trips. I normally use Costco 87 octane in my car as it is a less expensive top-tier option near me...and I get my $1.50 hotdog and drink while at Costco. (I use 87 octane as I do no performance driving.)

Anyway, I plant to stop at Buc-ees on future trips when reasonably priced top-tier is not available in the area, as I was pleasantly surprised at the eye-opening improved fuel mileage in hilly country using their ethanol-free premium on a recent trip.

I'm fairly sure everybody's gas comes from the same source.
That's pretty much a true regional statement. I learned that it is like ordering concrete. The basic ingredients are generally the same, but formulation percentages of Portland, Water, Aggregates, and Additives can vary greatly based on what the customer specifies (especially for industrial/commercial/DOT applications). You can liken it to winter and summer fuel formulations to meet EPA requirements. Temperatures at the time of concrete pouring can require a concrete formulation change as well.

So yes, the base ingredients are the same, but additives like detergents, ethanol, or octane enhancers are ordered based on brand requirements. BTW...that in part that may contribute to one gas station brand being cheap and the station brand next door being on the other side of the spectrum. But there are many other pricing factors as well, of course.

And as one person on this forum point out recently, just because a station doesn't advertise as top-tier, doesn't mean its fuel doesn't meet top-tier requirements. This is where our brand by brand investigation becomes important (if additives are important to us individually).

The fuel at your local fuel farm is the same in the huge tank its stored in, the tanker driver adds the specific additive package for the station it will be delivered to per retailers' requirements. True not all retailers belong to the top tier organization but may still use upper end additive packages.

On a long vacay drive, with steady low-rpm and light engine load, I am more particular to gas price than reputation.

On track, I use high-octane. Around town, it's usually Sam's gas.

'According to Evolutionists - Dinosaurs!

Personally, I lean the other way and Yes, I've used Buc-ee's for years on trips through Alabama and Georgia. Even sleep there for a couple hours on the way back from Mustang Shows. Got over 100,000 miles on the car now and it still runs. Have the Power Pack 3 with the 350 Intake Manifold, Cold Air Intake and Tune from Ford Performance, which requires 91 Octane or above. I've gotten around 24 to 25 mpg on the highway, where I do most of my driving.

Same couple sources. And it definitely doesn't mean everybody's gas is the same.

If I fill up at the Flying J/Pilot, I get knock. But 93 from Exxon or BP...no knock.

It's just like the fountain pop at every gas station doesn't taste the same, even though they all get the same boxes of syrup...

Last place I would buy gas is those ratty <fill in the blank> gas stations, you see some unmarked tanker there...probably expired gas just like the food/drinks they sell in side.

Here is all the info you need to find top tier gas stations and read about the true differences between the additive packages used in top tier fuel versus non top tier fuel and the benefits for your rides.

No experience with their gas in the Mach 1, I live too far away. But that gas station blows my mind just on its size and how much shit they have lol
