Was at the dealer today for servicing on my 18 GT, noticed they had an ecoboost premium with the pony package that had bright side moldings around the side windows instead of the black trim I have seen on all other mustangs. The only time I saw this is on the Mustangs sales brochures for England online. Is this an option?

Pony package and Bullitt only.
 Kevin wins the prize.

However Steve, I'm guessing for the right money your dealer can order the trim for you. Of course if your dealer is like mine he's gonna try to make a big profit. :D

Anyone think to try chrome paint on the trim? They now have brushable chrome that doesn't show streaks, that's what I was thinking about using

Jake, IMHO you've paid a lot of money on a car that many can't (for many reasons) afford to own. Don't use paint on your new baby. There is no way paint will look as good as the real stuff. As my dear old Dad used to say, "It only cost a little more to go first class".

That's true, but I haven't seen too many pictures of aftermarket chrome trim, and I really can't find anywhere that sells the factory trim (which is what I'd really like... I like OEM stuff). Any ideas?

I didn't like how the set came with the triangle piece bright. I think that should remain black as in your picture. It didn't look like you could just leave the triangle piece off because the piece that goes under it is notched for it.

So was your kit different or did you wrap/plastidip/??? the triangle piece to make it black, or just leave it off?

Used to work with a retired Marine.

I can still hear him yelling at me, "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right!"

I use those words from time to time.

Hmm, maybe I'll go to the Ford dealer down the street here and see if they have it. Good suggestion, I forgot it's standard on euro mustangs!

the rear quarter windows are the entire trim and surround its not just a stick on trim window is bonded in and needs removing and refitting with new trim on it its a semi big is job (only know this as one of my windows is/was only half fitted right from factory)

if you can find the uk part numbers for the trim though your state side dealer should be able to order it in for you.

Ahh crap, I was worried about that. Maybe I'll just go for the stick on trim. I'll talk to my dealership then
