I am looking for new brake pads for my GT. I have the 4 piston monoblocks and need something that is low dust, low noise, but higher performance than the standard pads. I do not track the car, it is my daily but I do like to have fun, for example, I tend to take stop lights at the end of an off ramp as a challenge so I fly up and hit the brakes pretty late so I can make the light so I want something that has some real stopping power without being a track pad that needs to warm up and makes a lot of noise.

I also am going down south to drive the tail of the dragon and other roads around that area later this summer and I have Conti ExtremeContact Sports I just put on, and I put on BMR performance springs with PP shocks and struts so I just need to upgrade the brakes to match and I should be good for this trip!

What would you recommend?

The base 4 pot brakes have no problem locking up my 275 square summer tires during emergency brake, and do not show any fade for occasional canyon runs. I don't see the point of upgrading unless you race.

I run the stock pads for track days. No fade. They are surprisingly good.

Wow, stock pads on track days is surprising. I guess I did not give these pads enough credit. I just figured they would heat soak like crazy and fade off but I have never really tested them myself other than a quick hard stop or two. I was worried about constant on off braking but it sounds like that is not an issue. Thanks for the advice!

I drive the car reasonably hard on mountain roads. The brakes stop very well and I have never experienced fade. That being said I have not run them to their limits on the track. I'm afraid one day I would be pushing it harder than it can last and suddenly I would lose fade...

But mostly no complaints!

I did the pads and rotors on my 17 non-PP GT and it was a nice upgrade
