BOV question

That link is for a recirculating valve. Would one just add a filter to the end and that would quiet it down?

Sorry im new to these stuff is it flows the same because on their website it says i can use it with a supercharger. If it flows the same and quiter im going with it.

Yes, new to me too. I added the regular 50mm and it is loud. Would like a quieter option.

The Qr is recirculating but that just means that it takes the same air that the regular Q would blow off in the atmosphere for the loud whoosh is plumb back into the intake so it's not as loud hence why it's called recirculating valve.

So you have to run a hose from the BOV back into the intake for the reduction in noise? If you just add a filter to the end of the BOV, it will still be quite loud?

The Tial QR is the same as the 50mm Tial Q. It just has a different base housing that covers up the valve and diverts all vented air to a recirculated flange.

Appreciate the feedback. So just replacing the Q with the QR will have a decent reduction in sound? Mainly looking for something quieter during normal driving mode.

No problem bud. Yes pretty much swap & go. There will still be a decent amount of sound during blow off depending on lbs or load but nothing like the (Loud Q). The Qr will have more of a flutter sound when it vents & almost no sound during normal driving.

There are 4 outlet sizes. 25.4mm(1"), 29mm(1.14"), 34mm(1.34"), 38.1mm(1.5"). which one do I have to get?

The recirculation is designed for a draw through system, where the metered air has to be recirculated. Doesn't mean you have to recirculate it though. I haven't ran the qr to say exactly how quiet it is though

you have to weld a flange on that holds the bov

you cannot recirculate back in on a blow through system, you have to vent it off,

you can add a filter to the end or something to help with sound as well
