I have been doing my research for a good BOV now i understand you can cough up the 200+ for the turbosmart but they had issues or you can get the 60 one that had issues as well? or create some sort of BOV in your garage. I really want a BOV or the sound, I want something that wont mess anything up, and is stable. Out of all the stuff i have read i am not sure what to do.
Please give me your opinions and what you have and how it is
thanks!

One is an adaptor that fits on your stock configuration. The other completely replaces the stock components.

Turbosmart and Boomba both make one. Either way will net you the woooosh sound you want. If you get the complete assembly, the materials used will be better than stock. Up to you.

nic, the real benefit to replacing the stock BPV is it's weak actuator allowing leakage, not holding boost. There are multiple paths you could choose.

1. A path some chose when the S550 was new was to simply vent the stock BPV to atmosphere so they could hear it. I can't imaging anyone stayed with that solution as the stock tune vents a LOT. Like at low/part throttle it will just steadily vent which gets real annoying. That is obviously a sound only solution if you like noise.

2. A better quality replacement of the stock BPV. The stock BPV is controlled by the ECU and as it's name implies (ByPass Valve) diverts the air back to the intake. I'll use Boomba because they have a nice assortment. They have this BPV that is still controlled by the ECU and recirculates to the intake. This would have no added noise but better operation than stock. 2015 + Ford Mustang Ecoboost Boost Operated Bypass Valve (Full Recirculation)

3. Next would be a vacuum operated BOV like the one from Turbosmart. When you release the pedal, the vacuum opens to BOV and you hear the Psssshhhh, it's vented to atmosphere. Great quality and will hold boost much better than stock. You can adjust this by simply turning the top. I think many people just didn't adjust theirs correctly. Kompact Shortie - Dual Port

4. Next would be an ECU operated BOV. Boomba's 2015 + Ford Mustang Ecoboost Boost Operated Blow Off Valve is ECU operated but instead of venting back to the intake, vents to atmosphere giving you the pssshhh. Again with this, you would hear it ALL THE TIME.... Not just the quick pssshhh when you let off the gas after boost but long periods of light throttle.

5. Finally you have the Boomba Mustang EcoBoost Blow Off Valve Adapter which is a more affordable version of the previous with the same sound benefits/annoyances but using the stock Ford BPV so you lose the higher quality operation but get it for much less money.

If I messed something up in there, please feel free to correct, I really don't mind, at least it kicks off the conversation. :D

The $60 adapter is a sandwich plate that turns your diverter valve into a blow off valve lots of PSSHT.
If you buy a BOV, there are me mechanically controlled and computer controlled.
Boomba makes a good computer controlled
Turbosmart is the way to go for mechanical control.
Both options are $200 plus.

If you want cheap and easy, go with the adapter plate. Torque Solutions is good.

Jbailer beat me to.it...........

Jeff, no, the European ecoboost uses a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor to meter the volume of air available for combustion. It sits in the intake just behind the filter so from that point the volume was already reported to the ECU. If you use a BOV that vents to atmosphere, you would be reducing the amount of air for combustion and it will go rich. In short, you don't want to use anything that vents to atmosphere.

With the Turbo smart Compact I adjusted mine so many different ways and never could get it to stop surging, eventually just took it off.

You will need to purchase blue spring to mitigate lower boost surge.

I thought it was a green spring. Either way why doesn't it come with the correct spring.

It's not really that big a deal. Call them, they have great support.

I can't understand why people are still recommending that stupid boomba adapter.. total waste of money. Buy a 50 cent rubber cap and disconnect the re-circulation hose that goes back into the intake.. Practically the same thing.

I forgot the size of the rubber cap thingy but it's stupidly cheap.. I bought a pack of 100 of them and have them in a storage box somewhere..

Will something like the turbosmart work with EU spec Ecoboost?
There are many running them.
Key thing to note - the valve re-circulates ALL vented air until the valve goes past 50% lift (heavier loads). It then uncovers the VTA port but it does NOT close off the re-circ port. The flow capacity is doubled. Air is always re-circulating when the valve is actuating.
