What other mods do you have? Be prepared to wing your revs to 7500+ to make the Boss IM shine...if not the car will be slower. Hopefully your tuner knows how to tune for the Boss because it requires changes to the VCT to get the most out of it.
What are you basing the "slower" assumption off of? I know the 11-14 loss low end to mid range power with the boss swap, but can anyone confirm on cars that loss this power that the VCT was adjusted accordingly? I absolutely agree, VCT will definitely be different on compared to the stock manifold.

Also, another thing to consider, the 2015 cams have 2 more mm of lift on the intake cam and 1 on the exhaust. There is considerable more cam on the 2015, and I am a firm believer it will take the Boss or CJ manifold to really open it up. Revving to 7500 should be perfect with this manifold and setup.

History of the 11-14 cars with people who installed the Boss and didn't raise shift-points, or had a tuner that didn't know how to tune for the Boss IM. Personally I saw gains on my 12, but I also installed a BBK 85mm throttle body, shift-points were 7500-7600, and I had a tuner that knew what he was doing with the Boss.

Anyway, people have already experimented with the Boss IM on the 15's. I know BBR installed and dynoed with it on their shop car, AM did with their car, and Ken with Lund did on his personal car. Ken actually has a vid of the dyno where he did back to back comparisons.

Full write-up with pictures, video, and results from Ken on SVTperf...he did this last Dec. Tried posting a link but the site won't let me.

Just google: 2015 Mustang Boss intake test

Yea, I saw Lund tested it, but no tuning changes were done. Which annoyed me. That's what I was getting at. I couldn't find any info on the others testing a 2015 and sharing results.

It's not necessarily a shift point, that's just allowing you to rev higher on an auto, I am speaking in depth VCT tuning, auto or manual. From what I have seen, very very few tuners in the Mustang world do such a thing, which blows my mind. I know it's time consuming but man, there is definitely potential for great power gains.

Is there room to do the mounts if long tubes have been previously installed? I've been thinking about the boss for a few months now, but haven't seen anybody do tuning for it on the 15's...probably will go headers first, unless I need to do mounts at the same time.

Any loss in low end or midrange torque could easily made up with a set of 4.10 gears, in fact with the extra headroom now you will even have more time in gear with the added torque multiplication.

Anybody know about room to install mounts after long tubes are installed? I'm wondering if I need to do both at the same time, while the headers are off.

I am sure you will be fine, if there would be an issue UPR would state so on their site.
It would be a good idea to swap the mounts while you are doing a header install.

also, not sure what worth the Lund test was at all without custom tuning for the boss manifold... didnt seem like it proved or disproved anything...

I am sure Lund would not swap an intake without making adjustments to the tune.

It says there were minimal changes to the tune that was already on the car. It wasn't really customized for the intake though. I definitely feel with tuning you could get quite a bit of it back. However, the higher rpm range on a road course will pay off huge dividends. Look at the GT350, I wouldn't be surprised if the 5.0L Coyote motor makes more low end than the 5.2 Voodoo. Time will tell.

How safe is it to rev the stock Coyote to 8K?
