Ok besides :ford:eek:bviously I guess I should've said.

General point being that don't slap an aftermarket exhaust on and expect to stay technically legal (as well as noise ordinances change by city/township so can var one block to the next).
I agree completely! Even Homeowner's Associations could be a problem.

I'm thinking of buying the S-Type catback and getting rid of my Bassani catback. Main reason is because of the drone, I'm trying to tame it down to make it as minimal as possible. I would go for the ATAK system but I do have SW LT Headers (catted), which I think will make it crazy loud lol.

These Video's

Was this just an Exhaust alone install, it seems it is with just the tail end of the car on supports. If so that's still not bad for a change in just exhausts alone.

But like stated above the X-pipes would help it a lot more.

This is a full catback. This kit is similar to the 11-14's. Great by itself but if you plan on running headers or go off road.... well.... its gonna be loud.
How loud? I already have off road long tube headers and magnaflow 3" competition cat back but I've decided switching to the ATAK, now, will this mess with the original sound Borla is looking for the ATAK cat back or what would happen? What I need to know is if this setup would sound nice, not just senselessly loud...

Personally, I would go with the S types. The Atak, being already extremely loud would honestly be overbearing without Cats.

just wanted to put this info out there for people interested in swapping out mufflers on FRPP or Borla systems

as per Borla, the ATAK should just drop right onto an existing FRPP catback system.

so I'm guessing any borla / frpp axle back / rear section exhaust are backwards compatible.

it's good to know that i can just swap out my FRPP sport axle backs with any FRPP or Borla axle back. i'm thinking about getting the ATAK

I have the regular Borla S type cat back exhaust not the FRPP version. I think they are a little louder than the FRPP's. And....swapping to the ATAK mufflers made it even louder. At idle and normal cruise it sounds good, not loud at all. When you crack the throttle boy does it make some noise. Love em. The S type is a little deeper in tone it seems as well but damn the ATAKS sound good. A little more of a ripping racing type sound.
