Boost gauge wiring/lighting install?

Hi guys,

I want to add a mechanical boost gauge to my GT.. how have some of you tapped off lighting switch? What colors are hot and ground color should be black? But who knows w ford anymore. Lol
How did you guys route the 1/8 inch silicone hose through firewall to blower?. I'm going w a A pillar style pod for gauge.
