...It's a big improvement!
I've not been a fan of the shifter feel on my 5.0 - particularly going from 4th- 5th, and so have been looking for a way to improve it, without it costing a million pounds. Having done a bit of reading around I decided to try changing the shifter assembly bracket.
I decided on the Boomba one as opposed to the Steeda piece simply because it comes in two parts and looks like less of a mission to fit. It's also completely rigid, while the Steeda one does have some rubber involved. Anyway, was changing the exhaust so put it on at the same time and its great. Can't think why Ford didn't do it like this to start with. Shifts feel a lot easier/less vague and I can't notice any increase in NVH at all. That said maybe the new exhaust is drowning everything out. Whatever, for £60, initial impressions at least, suggest this is a win!
