Hey guys, I am new to the mustang world; I traded in my 2004 Turbo Miata for my 2016 GT Base(should have gotten the premuim). Anyway, I wanted to know what everyone's thoughts were regarding exhaust. I am looking at ARH longtubes with an x-pipe and just having my local shop fab me an axle back to save money. Would this sound alright? Would the performance be on pa with a store-bought axle back? Any and all help is appreciated.

Yep!! I'll prob go back again this year. Sense your not too far away I'll tell you of a better one. It's called the "Warsaw flying mile". It coincides with the Warsaw airshow. This year was its first time of it. This time around they used only 1 runway and taxiway, total of about 2.5 miles. Next year I received an email they were opening up both runways, totaling just over 4 miles! It's set up for straight away speed just a few slaloms for fun. I reached speeds of 140+, this was with just a tune no SC'er yet. Can't wait to see how it goes now. They did a great job of setting it up with lots of run off's, just in case, and some very nice fast cars. Last year to run $75 for about 4 hours track time.

I personally would skip the headers for now an go, this is just me X or H pipe and of course Roush axle backs. I've got the ford X pipe with Roush and in all truth, almost too loud out side the car, inside just load enough. If you're looking at headers I don't think quite is what you want anyway,,,lol plus this set up really comes to life if you plan on going with a SC'er. You get that great snap and crackle!! Plus you'll dump that 30lbs suitcase under there..

Looking at an 05 turbo miata right now actually. How'd you like it?
My favorite sounding exhaust is the ARH with h pipe fyi. Haven't heard one with headers though.
