So on ramps is fine without needing to remove the wheels? Perfect!

No problem boss. I will be here if you need any more help

Yup!
I have those same ramps, but I have a PP car. Any issues with the chin spoilers scraping, or the wheel well not having enough room for chocks?

The car in my pic is my PP.

Ramps and a small piece of 2x4 wood under the front tires. That's how I roll.

Not to digress from this thread, but I have a set of Race Ramps and love them. Been using them for years on various lowered cars and have never needed the 2x4 method. They are longer than most (more gradual angle) and work great. My PP car is lowered on SP080's and clears just fine.

Kelly mentioned the ramp method when I'd called last week, and I installed my CB005 kit in roughly 45 minutes by backing up onto these. Worked like a charm.

Sounds good, I'll be picking up a set of the lockouts soon!

BK051 - Differential Bushing Lockout Kit

Hi Kelly,
Can the BMR BK051 Differential Bushing Lockout Kit be installed with the rear wheels on ramps too?

I plan on doing the CB005 and BK051 all at once.

Actually, here is the first initial install of the CB005 on my daily beater car. Did it in about 45 mins.
Care to write up a how to? I don't see how you can do this without jacking the car up.

Instructions DO say to put car on jack stands and remove wheels so I'm confused ... planning on installing in a month or so ... may just put on stands regardless just in case I need access from the side.

Having just done the install on one of these kits, I would say it is possible...but you get a lot of extra room to work with the rear wheels off - especially on jack stands because you are on your back.

Also, with the rear wheels loaded, it will make it more difficult to shift the cradle around should you need to do that exercise. It's not that much more work to take wheels off!

Yeah do it on stands. Much easier to work in there with the wheels off.

So... finally got done this morning installing the CB005 kit and I must say, if I had been smarter about a couple things, this kit would've gone on a lot easier.

On the plus side (I am a glass half-full guy), I did learn to tap and rethread LOL. I had dropped one side of the cradle first, did the lockout kit, then moved to the other side without thinking of how the geometry change would not make the holes align, and therefore I stripped the rear passenger side cradle main bolt hole.

With Kelly's guidance, I was able to get the right tools, and tapped the hole to the proper size and re-threaded the bolt successfully. Was actually pretty easy.

Anyways, I do recommend taking the wheels off and putting the car on stand if possible. Will make a lot more room for you, specially if you have wider wheels on the back like I do. Do the rear bushings first, then the fronts, this way the alignment won't shift on you too badly. And when tightening the bolts, TIGHTEN BOTH SIDES EQUALLY SO YOU DON'T STRIP OR CROSSTHREAD ANYTHING (like I did).

Anyways, my driving impressions. I definitely feel the difference. I tried a couple hard launches and noticed no wheel hop and the car just hooked. Around turns, it just grips and goes too, I even turned off TC to see how far I could push it, and it's beautiful. Also, this is my daily and so I didn't want any more NVH, and this kit delivers! I have not noticed any additional noise whatsoever or harshness whatsoever.

All in all, I give Kelly and the whole BMR crew a 100/10!!! I love this kit and my BMR SP080 springs!!!

Also, I want to thank you members of M6G.

This CB005 has quickly become one our best sellers at BMR - among ALL of our product offerings for over 15 different GM and Ford vehicles! That is amazing, and I believe a large impact has been due to you guys/gals and your support.

We truly appreciate it!

I plan on installing mine next weekend along with some other BMR goodies. I'll post my opinion once it's on, not that it makes a difference though since a lot of people swear by the CB005 kit
